One Month Old

Sorry for no posts lately.. I'm still trying to get the hang of keeping the dishes clean and the laundry done while taking care of my boys, let alone blogging. ;) I do have high aspirations to fill in some details of the time lapse soon though!

Until then, here are some highlights of the past month and some updates on Enoch at one month old:
  • Eating- 8-9 times per day, usually for around 20 minutes per meal.
  • Weight- a little over 12 pounds.. this fast weight gain is most likely do to my oversupply of milk because for a few weeks he was only getting foremilk (before we realized I had oversupply issues). We are trying to fix the balance of milk that he gets through block feeding, so his weight gain should slow down this next month.
  • Sleeping- generally naps after every feeding, but he has been having between two and four awake times during the day; he usually "goes to bed" between 10:00 and midnight, wakes up 2-3 times per night, and is ready for breakfast around 7:00.
  • Size- typically wears size 3 mos in clothes and size 1 in diapers (we used sposies this week because we were all sick)
  • Enjoys- eating, looking, being rocked, playing in his gym, riding in the foby wrap, and tummy time.
  • Funnies- losing his hair on top of his head (this makes him look like an old man with a receding hair line), poops and farts a lot while eating, burps himself most of the time

Tummy Time
A few weeks ago when we were talking with some good friends, the husband mentioned to Hugh that he had read that it was good developmentally for babies to have three 15 minute sessions of tummy time per day. Ever since then, it has been high on Hugh's priority list, and he often asks me if Enoch has had his tummy time yet.

Play Time
Enoch really likes hitting the toy animals attached to this gym that one of our friends gave him. :)
