Well, a little over 11 mos after being born, Enoch John finally decided he wanted to crawl. Haha! I think he may have learned how by being in the kitchen floor so much (while I cook/clean). On Friday, I watched him make slow "crawling" efforts toward some dirt specks near the oven (dirt specks are his all-time favorite thing to find and... eat... uck!!). But there wasn't much distance to cover before he ran into the oven, literally.
So on Saturday morning, Hugh decided he wanted to see if he could get Enoch to crawl (to help me know if he was truly crawling or not). Now, "tempting" Enoch to crawl is tough to do because toys are usually not a good enough incentive for him, usually only dirt is. However, Hugh thought that trying Cheerios might work, so he put some on the far side of Enoch's quilt. And then we both just sat back and watched... stunned! Our little stationary baby can MOVE!! Here it is on video:
Now believe it or not, after only a few days of practice, he's so much better at crawling than this! In fact, it seems to me that crawling has given him more incentive to pull up as well because now he's testing that out too. :)
Hope you enjoyed the video, and I'll try to post up some more later in the week once he's had more practice.

Yay!
You say "yea" now, but your household will never be the same! He'll be climbing in the cabinets before you know it! Love Granny Sandy
